Job Summary
The Flash Charging Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the expansion and commercialization of the flash charging business by identifying strategic partnerships, developing charging infrastructure opportunities, and supporting the growth of the EV ecosystem. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate charging network deployment, improve market penetration, and achieve business growth objectives.
Job Description
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities for flash charging infrastructure and EV charging solutions.
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships with property developers, commercial businesses, government agencies, utilities, and charging operators.
- Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and partnership agreements to support charging network expansion.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Develop business cases, investment proposals, and financial models for charging infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful project implementation.
- Monitor business performance, charging station utilization, and revenue growth, recommending improvement initiatives.
- Prepare regular business development reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, project development, infrastructure development, energy, automotive, or EV-related industries.
- Strong understanding of EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy, power systems, or mobility solutions is preferred.
- Proven experience in partnership development, negotiations, and commercial contract management.
- Strong financial analysis, business case development, and project evaluation capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

The Flash Charging Team plays a critical role in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles by developing and expanding BYD's fast and ultra-fast charging ecosystem across Indonesia. The team is responsible for identifying strategic charging opportunities, building partnerships with key stakeholders, and ensuring customers have convenient and reliable access to charging infrastructure.
Working closely with internal teams including Sales, Aftersales, Network Development, Product Planning, Engineering, and Government Relations, the Flash Charging Team supports BYD's long-term vision of creating a comprehensive EV ecosystem. The team collaborates with property developers, commercial partners, utility providers, charging operators, and government institutions to deploy charging solutions that enhance customer experience and strengthen BYD's market competitiveness.
