Job Summary
The Senior Tax Accountant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company's tax and accounting activities to ensure compliance with Indonesian tax regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies. This role manages tax reporting, accounting reconciliations, financial closing activities, and tax audits while providing guidance to the finance team and supporting business operations through accurate financial and tax management.
Job Descriptions
- Supervise and review tax and accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting, including VAT (PPN), Withholding Taxes (PPh 21, 23, 26), Corporate Income Tax (PPh Badan), and Annual Tax Returns (SPT).
- Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and review financial reports, tax schedules, and supporting documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate tax audits, tax assessments, and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and accounting standards, assessing impacts and ensuring compliance across business operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities regarding accounting and tax matters.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and taxation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Brevet A & B certification is required; Brevet C certification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, financial accounting standards (PSAK), and corporate tax compliance.
- Experience handling VAT (PPN), Withholding Taxes (PPh 21, 23, 26), Corporate Income Tax (PPh Badan), general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with Coretax, e-Faktur, e-Bupot, and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
About the Team
The Finance Autosales Division plays a vital role in supporting BYD Indonesia's automotive sales operations by ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective business partnering. The team works closely with Sales, Marketing, Dealer Network Development, Aftersales, and Business Operations teams to manage financial planning, revenue recognition, budgeting, tax compliance, and business performance analysis. As BYD continues to expand its presence in Indonesia, the Finance Autosales Division contributes directly to sustainable growth by providing financial insights, managing risks, and supporting strategic decision-making across the automotive business.
