EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Lead Solutions Engineer for one of our partners that is revolutionizing the electric vehicle charging infrastructure industry. In this position, you will spearhead a team of application engineers, serving as the technical bridge between sales teams and customers while driving the successful implementation of advanced EV charging solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring optimal system integration and maintaining high standards of technical excellence.
Core Responsibilities
- Guide and execute comprehensive interoperability testing for EV charging systems, with specific focus on OCPP 1.6/2.0.1 protocols and vehicle compatibility standards (DIN70121 and ISO15118)
- Deliver expert technical consultation during pre-sales and post-sales phases, encompassing detailed product specifications, installation planning, and system commissioning processes
- Lead complex troubleshooting initiatives utilizing advanced data mining techniques, log analysis, and performance testing methodologies
- Drive technical aspects of RFI/RFP processes by evaluating specifications and developing strategic product positioning recommendations
- Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and operations to ensure project success
- Engage in field activities including customer site visits, trade show representation, and on-site technical support across various locations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in application engineering, with preference for electrical or power electronics industry background
- Proven expertise in communication protocols including TCP/IP, CAN bus, and Modbus
- Comprehensive experience in structured product testing methodologies and documentation practices
- Demonstrated ability in analyzing customer requirements and translating them into technical specifications
- Advanced project management capabilities and presentation skills
- Superior communication abilities with proven success in customer relationship management
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior professional experience in EV charging or solar industry operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital hardware systems and power electronics control mechanisms
