EV.Careers is seeking a skilled Application Engineer to join a market-leading EV charging solutions manufacturer. You'll be the technical bridge between sales and customers, providing expert support for the implementation of advanced EV charging infrastructure, ensuring seamless system integration and compatibility.
Core Responsibilities
- Spearhead interoperability testing and validation, ensuring compliance with OCPP and vehicle compatibility standards (DIN70121, ISO15118).
- Act as a technical authority, providing expertise for product specifications, installation, and commissioning.
- Perform in depth troubleshooting, using data analysis, and performance testing to solve complex technical problems.
- Provide technical expertise for RFI/RFP responses and assist in developing effective product positioning.
- Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company and provide on-site technical support at customer sites and industry trade shows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer) or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of application engineering experience, ideally within electrical or power electronics
- Proficiency in communication protocols such as TCP/IP, CAN bus, and Modbus
- Experience in conducting structured product testing and creating detailed documentation
- Experience in gathering customer needs and developing corresponding technical specifications
- Excellent project management and presentation capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills and a proven record of successful customer relationship management
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience within the electric vehicle charging or solar energy sectors
- Strong understanding of digital hardware and power electronics control systems
