EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Solutions Engineer for one of our partners that is revolutionizing the electric vehicle charging infrastructure industry. In this position, you will serve as a crucial technical bridge between sales teams and customers, leveraging your expertise to implement advanced EV charging solutions while ensuring seamless integration and system performance.
Responsibilities
- Drive comprehensive interoperability testing and validation of EV charging systems, with particular focus on OCPP 1.6/2.0.1 protocols and vehicle compatibility standards (DIN70121 and ISO15118)
- Deliver expert technical guidance throughout the customer journey, from pre-sales consultations to post-sales support, including detailed product specifications, installation planning, and system commissioning
- Execute advanced troubleshooting through data mining, log analysis, and performance testing to resolve complex technical challenges
- Contribute technical expertise to RFI/RFP processes, analyzing specifications and supporting product positioning strategies
- Partner with cross-functional teams spanning product management, engineering, and operations to ensure successful project outcomes
- Participate in field work including customer site visits, trade show representation, and on-site technical support
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of application engineering experience, preferably in electrical or power electronics industries
- Proven expertise with communication protocols including TCP/IP, CAN bus, and Modbus
- Demonstrated experience in structured product testing and documentation
- Strong background in analyzing customer requirements and translating them into technical specifications
- Excellence in project management and presentation delivery
- Superior communication skills with proven success in customer relationship management
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in EV charging or solar industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of digital hardware and power electronics control systems
