Job Summary
Responsible for end-to-end import and export customs clearance operations for automotive CBU vehicles, CKD kits and spare parts in Austria. Manage full-set customs documentation, tariff classification, duty & tax declaration, and official customs system operations. Ensure full compliance with the Austrian Customs Act, local trade regulations and international shipping standards. Coordinate customs inspections and resolve logistics and clearance issues to support daily import and export operations as well as internal and external audits.

Verantwortlich für die vollständige Zollabwicklung von Import- und Exportvorgängen für CBU-Fahrzeuge, CKD-Bausätze sowie Ersatzteile der Automobilindustrie in Österreich. Zuständig für die Zolldokumentation, Zolltarifklassifizierung, Zoll- und Steueranmeldungen sowie die Zusammenarbeit mit den zuständigen Zollbehörden und offiziellen Zollsystemen. Sicherstellung der vollständigen Einhaltung der österreichischen Zollvorschriften, lokaler Handelsbestimmungen sowie internationaler Versand- und Compliance-Standards. Koordination von Zollkontrollen sowie Analyse und Lösung von Logistik- und Abfertigungsproblemen zur Unterstützung des täglichen Import- und Exportgeschäfts sowie interner und externer Audits.
Responsibilities
1. Manage end-to-end Austrian and EU cross-border customs auto parts assembly kits, and automotive spare parts, covering import, export, EU intra-community transit and local customs clearance procedures.
2. Prepare, verify and submit full sets of import/export customs documents, including Customs Declaration Form, commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading / Air Waybill (BL/AWB), insurance certificate and other supporting documents required by Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance and Austrian Customs Authority.
3. Ensure full compliance with the Austrian Customs Act, EU Union Customs Code (UCC), Austrian VAT and excise duty regulations and European international trade rules. Conduct accurate goods classification and assign correct EU HS tariff codes, and maintain consistent classification standards for automotive parts and car components for EU and Austrian customs filings.
4. Track real-time shipment and customs clearance status for cargo. Liaise and coordinate daily with EU Customs officers, freight forwarders and European logistics vendors. Resolve all clearance exceptions, including documentary audits and physical inspections to ensure smooth and timely cargo release within Austria and EU member states.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or above.
2. Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in EU/Austrian customs clearance, European trade compliance or cross-border logistics operations.
3. Candidates with automotive industry European market working background are strongly preferred.
4. Fluent in written and spoken German and English, capable of using both languages as daily working languages for local customs communication, official document processing and vendor liaison.
