In this position…
The Ford Hybrid Electric Powertrain Engineering team is looking for qualified candidates to perform powertrain calibration duties on Gasoline/Hybrid Electric applications. Ford Calibrators work in a team environment to deliver production ready powertrain calibrations on time with efficiency and quality. Responsibilities include laboratory and in vehicle development at testing facilities in Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Canada.
Responsibilities
What you'll do…
- Engine, Drivability, or Diagnostic Powertrain Calibration
- Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, drivability) on vehicle, engine dynamometer test cells, and environmental test cells.
- Modify vehicle and powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy, performance, emissions, drivability, and diagnostics
- Conduct vehicle testing and development in S.E. Michigan and at locations in Arizona, Colorado, Florida and Northern Canada
- Design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy, performance, emissions, drivability, and diagnostics
- Review warranty data to identify emerging trends and develop corrective actions
Qualifications
You'll have...
Minimum
- B.S. Engineering (BSME or BSEE) or related field
- 2+ years' experience with Calibration Tools including ETAS and/or ATI, and Matlab
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Self- motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Even better, if you have …
Preferred
- MSME or MSEE
- Combustion Engine Aftertreatment Experience preferred
- Strong statistical knowledge
- Familiarity with Emission Regulatory Requirements Worldwide
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to read and understand Simulink flow diagrams and C programming source code
