The Global Program Management mission is to deliver great global product programs on time that support the business plan financials, quality and win in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do...
- Conduct engineering statistical analysis and leverage Six Sigma tools to resolve Quality and Warranty issues on F150 and Super Duty vehicle lines
- Develop and lead Truck Quality Operating System and Warranty Process to support Corporate Objectives for 25CY
- Drive part, quality and warranty cost reductions through component, vehicle benchmarking and analysis of dealership vehicle repair processes
- Conduct technical design reviews with product development engineering across all vehicle systems. including Body, Chassis, Electrical, Software Engineering, from the component level to fully integrated in vehicle
- Responsible for delivering pre-production vehicle builds from end to end including technical, cost, feasibility issue resolution
- Determine fit-for-test criteria to support vehicle level attribute test requirements
- Lead product technical reviews ranging from planning to studio/appearance
- Identify major program issues including technical compatibility and help needed, and take actions to resolve
- Deliver technical product assumption changes via change control process
- Resolve cross-functional cost, quality and timing conflicts and drive consensus
- Manage program dashboard – make live reporting of status & issues possible through collaboration with team leaders and automating program management tools
- Organize new program launch activities & track key program metrics
- Manage and maintain program sharing sites & program communications
Qualifications
You'll have...
- Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field
- Achieved certification: Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills (G8D, Ishikawa)
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, empower and develop employees
- Demonstrated conflict management skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
- Ability to work closely and successfully with others in order to deliver results
- Experience with delivering multiple commodities at an OEM, from cradle to grave (on the same commodity/program is preferred; however scattered delivery is okay too).
- Experience with system level or vehicle level development and integration (program management, planning/strategy/architecture, TPM/systems engineering capacity)
- Experience with program delivery - geometric development and convergence, and engineering sign off
Even better, you may have…
- Strong working knowledge of Ford's specific product development system
- Working knowledge of the Ford Production System (FPS)
- Passion for/deeply familiar with diesel, gas, and electric vehicles engineering
- Experience with prototype vehicle assembly including prototype part logistics and OEM vehicle assembly (IMF)
- Familiar with security protocols and requirements of the automotive industry, and the concepts of Proprietary, Confidential and Secret data
- Experience with Atlassian suite of collaboration tools including Confluence & Jira
- Bonus points for a car-related or other technology/mobility related / hands-on hobby
