What To Expect
This is a commercial EHS role — you’ll sit across the bid and contract cycle to de-risk customer requirements, strengthen proposal responses, and build reusable enablement tools (playbooks, templates, guidance) that help business development win and deliver work consistently. You’ll also help strengthen Tesla’s contractor management framework in APAC and contribute to global alignment through shared tools and standards.
You’ll independently lead contract and enablement workstreams, working with customers, BD, project managers, and the wider EHS team. This role is not day-to-day site EHS ownership, full-time auditing, or people management.
We’re looking for someone with experience reviewing tenders/RFPs or customer contracts from an EHS lens — ideally in energy, power, storage, or electrical infrastructure — who can translate WHS and electrical safety requirements into clear commercial positions.
Reporting to the Director of Energy, Charging and Distribution, EHS, you’ll support Tesla Commercial Energy across APAC (with secondary support to EMEA and NA).
Frequent regional travel and occasional international travel are required. Based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane (or willing to relocate).

What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related field, or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years' progressive EHS experience, preferably in APAC-based rolesExperience supporting bids, RFPs, or customer contract reviews from an EHS perspectiveExperience in electric power generation, transmission, storage, or distribution, ideally in APAC marketsStrong knowledge of APAC EHS regulations and electrical safety standards (e.g. Australian WHS, AS/NZS)Excellent communication and stakeholder skills across APAC cultures and time zonesStrong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capacity to prioritise in a fast-paced global environment
