Job Overview
We are looking for a hands-on IT Operations Specialist to own end-to-end IT infrastructure management, desktop support and network security for our Malaysia entity and ASEAN major project. You will ensure 7/24 stable operation of all IT systems and devices, deliver responsive technical support to employees, and support corporate digitalization initiatives, in alignment with Geely Group IT standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operation and maintenance of full corporate IT infrastructure, including desktop PCs, servers, network devices, printers, CCTV and access control systems, ensuring reliable 7/24 uptime for all hardware and software.
- Conduct regular inspection, troubleshooting and optimization of LAN, wireless and office network environments; resolve issues including network lag, disconnection, IP conflicts and access anomalies promptly to guarantee seamless office connectivity.
- Monitor and maintain business systems, office platforms, corporate email and cloud servers; perform scheduled data backup and log management, and proactively identify potential risks to prevent system downtime and data loss.
- Provide frontline IT technical support to all employees: hardware/software troubleshooting, OS reinstallation, application deployment, account access provisioning/offboarding, and office equipment issue resolution, with fast response to service requests.
- Manage IT asset ledger covering all devices and accessories; perform regular physical inventory, update asset records, and track equipment issuance, maintenance and retirement for standardized asset governance.
- Support corporate IT construction and digitalization projects, including new system rollout, network upgrade and equipment iteration, responsible for pre-launch testing, on-site implementation and post-launch O&M alignment.
- Develop and optimize IT O&M policies, device usage guidelines and routine inspection workflows; document operation records and conduct fault reviews to continuously improve service standardization.
- Execute network security and endpoint protection measures including regular virus scanning and vulnerability patching, to mitigate cyberattack and data leakage risks; complete other assigned IT tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Network Engineering, IT, Software Engineering or related fields; fresh graduates with solid fundamentals are eligible.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office deployment & maintenance; strong hands-on skills in desktop hardware/software troubleshooting, LAN setup and Wi-Fi configuration, able to resolve common office IT issues independently.
- Basic knowledge of network device (switch, router, firewall) configuration and O&M; fundamental understanding of server and cloud platform operation, with basic data backup and system maintenance capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and emergency response skills, detail-oriented, responsible, with a strong service mindset to support cross-departmental needs promptly.
- Capable of IT asset management and standardized documentation for O&M records, inspection reports and fault logs.
- Fluent in English and Chinese as working languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in corporate IT O&M, data center or network administration.
- Experience with Linux, virtualization, server administration, corporate email and OA/ERP system support.
- Professional certifications such as HCIA/HCIP, Network Engineer or national computer rank certificate.
- Basic cybersecurity awareness and hands-on experience in IT project implementation or system deployment.
