Market and Competitive Intelligence Senior Analyst WHAT YOU WILL DO - Provide foundational understanding of current market landscape through in-depth insights and competitive analysis.
- Be subject matter expert for overall market performance, competitor performance and product actions, and consumer trends
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT -
Coordinate, execute, and report on Market Analysis of the automotive industry in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Perform data analysis including manipulation, observation, insight generation, recommendation development, and reporting.

Create advanced PowerPoint presentations to communicate industry trends and findings.

Work with data tools such as mTab, Excel, SPSS, pivot tables, Power BI, and Tableau.

Utilize and analyze data from AutoPacific, S&P, Bloomberg, JD Power (IQS, VDS, APEAL, PIN+), Consumer Reports, KBB, Edmunds, and others.

Lead internal reporting efforts: Sales, Auto Shows, Trends, OEM Summaries, Segment Overviews, and Competitor Cycle Plans.

Monitor economic and automotive industry indicators.

Conduct broad studies on features, technology, and execution strategies across corporate and brand lineups.

Investigate media and customer feedback to assess qualitative issues related to vehicles, powertrain, technologies, and features.

Lead and coordinate benchmarking projects and internal reports at HATCI.

Arrange vehicle rentals/acquisitions and establish internal benchmarking schedules with Product Strategy and functional teams.

Collaborate with functional teams on property and timing needs.

Prepare technical reports and present to senior management.

Develop summary reporting formats, collect and compile team inputs, create overviews, and coordinate final presentations.

Manage long-term, detailed projects alongside quick-turn ad hoc requests.

Embrace new areas of work and operate comfortably with ambiguity.

Shift focus as needed to support team initiatives and contribute to shared deliverables and group reports.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE -
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science, Social Science, or related field.

5–10+ years of experience in Industry Analysis, Benchmarking, Innovation, Market Research, or Product Planning—ideally in the automotive industry.

Automotive experience in areas such as vehicle evaluation, component testing/teardown, competitive intelligence, program management, customer research, forecasting, strategic planning, quality, or vendor management.

Strong data analysis skills; experience with IQS, NVCS, AutoKnowledge, AutoSource, AutoPacific, mTab, and secondary research is especially valuable.

Expert in PowerPoint; proficient in Excel including pivot tables.

Proven communication and presentation skills; adept at report development and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Tools expertise: mTab, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, JD Power (IQS, APEAL, PIN+).

Able to synthesize data, experience, judgment, and intuition to deliver insights and compelling recommendations.
