What You'll Get To Do
This position serves as the first point of contact relative to customer service. Responsible for the order to cash cycle including Order Management, issue resolution and on-time delivery. Collaborates internally with Sales, Product Engineering, Finance, Credit, factories and warehouses to communicate customer requirements. Communicates with external partners in the supply chain to ensure on-time delivery and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Determines best method to achieve customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies. Maintains knowledge of products, services, polices and procedures. Recommends and implements ideas for improvement to achieve higher work efficiencies.
Customer Service & Order Management
- Champions customer’s requirements through communication and collaboration with internal departments.
- Serves as the first line of contact with the customer relative to order status.
- Educates customers on the Panasonic processes, systems, and lead times.
- Provides sales administration support to Sales team.
- Process Drop, Stock and Consignment sales orders received via EDI, e-mail, or web portal. Resolve order discrepancies/exceptions timely, within policy.
- Routinely review and action backlog report to maintain confirmed shipping schedules.
- Manage order changes/cancellations/expedites in accordance with policy
- Resolves chargebacks related to price, quantity, and contractual requirements.
- Maintains general product knowledge to support customer inquiries.
- Creates and maintains customer profiles.
- Initiate and process requests for Credits, Debits, Returns.
Logistics & Supply Chain
- Support & Troubleshoot issues identified through exception reporting
- Communicate with overseas factories or domestic distribution centers regarding issues that may impact/delay on-time delivery
- Collaborate with logistics/transportation team to explore alternative shipping methods or trade lanes to meet customer due dates
- Identifies and raises up ideas for system and process improvements.
- Proactively identifies root cause of errors to prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensure manual warehouse transactions have goods posted according to policy to ensure closure of the transaction. Collaborate with third party warehouses to resolve discrepancies or shipping delays as needed. Inventory reconciliation.
- Process export and inventory transfer requests as needed
Reporting
- Execute & Analyze exception reports to identify issues in the supply chain
- Provide reports to external and internal customers as needed
- May be responsible for research and providing data for the PSI report and Sales Flash
Internal Controls
- Follow proper internal controls as established by the company
- Ensure compliance with SOX and other departmental policy is followed.
- Shares knowledge with new employees and participates in training efforts
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
Education & Experience
- College degree (AA) preferred or equivalent work experience in customer service/sales support.
- 3-5 years sales support experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment is mandatory
- Preferred experience working within a Global Company.
- Functional knowledge MS Office Suite, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
- Intermediate MS Excel proficiency
- Functional knowledge of ERP systems (such as SAP) preferred
- Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is preferred.

- Professional written and verbal communication. Tactful and diplomatic.
- Ability to articulate problems and solutions in a concise, simple to understand language.

- Travel may be required as needed

The wage range of $55,000 - $65,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
