The Opportunity
InCharge Energy is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Asset Manager to lead the lifecycle management of EV charging infrastructure across various locations. Based out of our Richmond, VA office, this role plays a key part in ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and financial efficiency of deployed EV charging assets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in asset management, financial analysis, and operations—particularly within the EV or renewable energy space.
What You’ll Do
Asset Performance & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze EV charger performance, utilization, and operational efficiency
- Develop and implement strategies to increase uptime and optimize operations
- Identify underperforming assets and recommend corrective actions or upgrades
- Collaborate with Field Technicians and Operations to ensure timely maintenance and repair execution
Lifecycle & Financial Management
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of EV charging assets—from procurement through retirement
- Manage asset budgets, depreciation schedules, and cost optimization initiatives
- Develop and maintain financial models to track ROI, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and asset valuation
Technology & Data Management
- Utilize asset management platforms, IoT tools, and diagnostics to track and enhance asset performance
- Leverage predictive analytics and remote monitoring to anticipate issues and drive reliability
- Maintain detailed records of asset condition, service history, warranty coverage, and maintenance logs
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Support, and Service Operations teams to drive performance
- Coordinate with network providers, site hosts, and charging partners to increase asset utilization
- Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership on asset performance and investment opportunities
Your Experience & Capabilities
- 3–5 years of experience in asset management, operations, or financial analysis (EV or renewable energy industry preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, energy infrastructure, and renewable energy markets
- Experience with CMMS or asset tracking tools and software
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with EV charging networks, OCPP protocols, and smart charging technologies
- Understanding of utility rates, demand charges, and incentive structures
- Experience with fleet electrification and/or large-scale EV infrastructure deployment
