Your Responsibilities
The Director, Emerging Tecnology & Digital Economies will play a pivotal role in strengthening existing client relationships, scaling our technology practice, and driving new business development. This individual will leverage their extensive experience in client management, practice building, sales support, and thought leadership to significantly expand Lockton's market share within the technology industry.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key, high-profile technology clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Act as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, proactively addressing their needs and anticipating future requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement tailored risk management and insurance solutions.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key tech clients, ensuring revenue growth and retention.
- Practice Scaling & Development:
- Contribute to the strategic development and scaling of Lockton's technology practice.
- Leverage experience in building successful practices within large organizations to establish and optimize processes for rapid growth.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities within the technology sector.
- Help to manage the growth of teams, and implement scaling procedures.
- Sales Support & Business Development:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the technology industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders and influencers.
- Provide strategic sales support to the team, including developing proposals, presentations, and other sales materials.
- Expand Lockton's reach into innovative tech spaces.
- Support Producers in sales cycle.
- Brand Awareness & Thought Leadership:
- Represent Lockton as a thought leader in the technology industry through speaking engagements, industry events, and publications.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and content to enhance Lockton's brand awareness.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to increase Lockton's visibility within the technology sector.
- Act as a proxy for leadership at industry events.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in client relationship management, preferably within the technology sector.
- Extensive experience in building and scaling practices within large organizations, with demonstrated revenue growth.
- Strong business development and sales skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong understanding of the technology industry and its unique risk management needs.
- A proven ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
- A history of exceeding revenue goals.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- In person in San Francisco 1-2x per month.
- Resident Property & Casualty Broker’s License (within 90 days if not currently licensed)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with large, high-profile technology clients.
- Established network of contacts within the technology industry.
- Experience presenting at large industry conferences, or to large groups of people.
