Role Description The Warehouse Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations in support of ALE’s battery manufacturing and distribution activities. This role manages shipping and receiving processes, ensures accurate inventory control, and coordinates material handling for inbound and outbound goods. The Warehouse Supervisor leads and schedules warehouse team members, monitors performance, and promotes safe work practices, including proper forklift operation and equipment use. Daily responsibilities include maintaining organized storage areas, verifying documentation and labeling, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with production, logistics, and procurement teams to meet operational timelines. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, implements standard operating procedures, and ensures compliance with company policies and relevant safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Supervisory and leadership skills, including team coordination, performance monitoring, and coaching.
- Experience in shipping & receiving and inventory control, with the ability to manage documentation and reconcile stock levels.
- Hands-on material handling expertise, including organizing storage areas and managing inbound and outbound materials.
- Proficient forklift operation skills and familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (e.g., Excel, ERP or inventory software).
- Understanding of OSHA or similar safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work on-site, stand and move throughout the day, and lift materials within reasonable weight limits.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or clean energy environment is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in warehousing or logistics are a plus.
