A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Stator Assembler, you will learn and support all operations associated with the final assembly of large generators. You will become familiar with the tools, equipment, and processes required for generator assembly while working alongside experienced team members. This role involves assembling rotor-to-core components, bearings, pedestals, and other generator parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will also develop proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, shop tools, and material-handling equipment.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Learn and perform all operations associated with Stator Assembler B and generator final assembly processes.
- Assemble rotor-to-core components, bearings, pedestals, and other generator parts according to specifications.
- Safely operate and select appropriate shop tools, including grinders, sanders, drills, ratchets, and wrenches.
- Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards.
- Move and position materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds as required.
- Obtain and safely operate fork truck and crane equipment in support of assembly activities.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 4+ years of industrial or mechanical experience preferred.
- Proficiency using common shop tools and selecting the appropriate tool for the task.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read, write, and complete simple forms; must be able to pass required hearing and vision tests.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
