As part of VinFast’s UX Center, UX Requirements manager will play a key role in supporting the definition and delivery of user experiences.
The UX design leads lead the definition of concepts and features – managing the collaborations and concept creations. UX requirements manager/lead the next stage of refining concepts into every single requirement – corssing the t’s and dotting the i’s and making sure that each of these are documented in the requirements databases and other files properly.
Design and concept work is carried out in Figma but due to the nature of making cars – there must be clear requirements in databases. (Codebeamer – similar to confluence.) Once a feature or concept has been designed by UX leads/designers, then the UX requirements manager takes over the responsibility. We work collaboratively so the ux requirements manager is kept in the loop during the design phase, so that once all the details must be set in place and documented clearly the UX requirements manager can work efficiently. One can see it as the “UX lead” taking role of business analyst – to translate business and user needs into features. The UX requirements manager/lead/analyst – translates and manages the official requirements and the process of requirements handling for the UX center.
This role is ideal for someone who has attention to detail, enjoys providing structure to what may seem complex, consider and care for efficient way of working and processes. Is analytical so as to support in finding any possible gaps, use cases or consideration that was not covered in the feature definition phase. The UX requirements are in the form of functional requirements for now, like user stories, as well as interaction design specifications for said user story.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Structuring: Translate UX concepts and design directions into clear, actionable requirements and specifications for engineering and supplier teams into the requirements databases and processes.
- Development Follow-Through: Track UX-related requirements throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring their quality throughout the cycles and processes.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Facilitate communication between UX, product, engineering, and supplier teams to ensure alignment and resolve issues with any requirement.
- Documentation & Traceability: Maintain organized documentation of UX requirements, decisions, and changes, ensuring traceability and clarity. This includes also from design files like Figma where the concepting, benchmarking, and explorations were done, and into the official requirements database.
- UX Integrity Support: Act as a second set of eyes on design solutions—helping to critique, close gaps, and make sure all aspects were considered for the sake of quality.
- Support UX Design Process: Assist the Senior UX Designer in preparing presentations, visualizations, and reviews with stakeholders.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify gaps, risks, or misalignments.
- Proactively find ways to improve how we manage our design-to-requirements processes.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience as business analysts, as requirements specialists in product development, or UX coordination.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and structure complex systems and user flows.
- Good English skills – will be writing requirements in English.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in hardware/software environments.
- Familiarity with tools like Excel, Jira, Figma, Confluence (preferably Codebeamer).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- A mindset aligned with design thinking and user-centered development. Not too technically focused – appreciates that all requirements are always grounded in a user needing or wanting something from this product.
Preferred (Merit, Not Requirement)
- Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial product development.
- Exposure to UX design processes or human-centered design.
- Familiarity with Codebeamer or similar requirement management tools.
- Understanding of vehicle systems and user experience considerations.
