We are seeking a Automotive Market Research Analyst to support product planning and market intelligence activities by analyzing industry trends, competitor products, customer needs, and market opportunities. This role will play a key part in shaping product strategies and improving the competitiveness of BYD's product portfolio in the local market.
Important: This position is intended for candidates with a maximum of 2 to 3 years of professional experience. It is not a role related to manufacturing or product/vehicle design. Candidates with significantly greater experience or senior-level backgrounds will not be considered for this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, monitor, and analyze competitive product information, including vehicle specifications, pricing strategies, market positioning, technical trends, and industry developments.
- Conduct benchmarking studies to evaluate product competitiveness and identify market opportunities.
- Analyze product positioning and support the development of product strategies aligned with local market demands.
- Design product strategies for targeted market segments to strengthen market performance and competitive advantage.
- Monitor automotive industry trends, emerging technologies, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Prepare market intelligence reports, competitive analysis studies, and executive presentations for management and headquarters.
- Collaborate with Product Planning, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Regional teams to support strategic product decisions.
- Support the evaluation of new product opportunities and future market requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in: Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Or related fields.
- No more than 2 years of experience in: Market Research, Product Planning, Product Strategy, Competitive Intelligence, Automotive Industry Analysis, Business Planning
- Experience within the automotive industry is a must
- Advanced English proficiency
