The APAC Energy & Charging Service team maintains Tesla’s Energy & Charging fleet to ensure excellent customer experience and best-in-class availability. As a member of our team, you must have a genuine passion for technology and a bias toward solving challenges that will fundamentally change the world’s energy and EV charging infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled, motivated individual comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of self-sufficiency.
In this role, you will be accountable for sourcing, procuring, and managing physical tools across the APAC region for the Energy & Charging Service team. You will develop and execute the APAC physical tooling program, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Tooling, Procedure Development, Training, Campaign), and drive improvements in procurement, logistics, and tool management to support installation, service, and the Certified Service Provider Program (CSP).
What You'll Do
Develop APAC’s physical tooling program and strategy.Manage timelines, planning, and coordination of parts and materials for installation and service tool development across Energy product lines.Oversee tooling calibrations, certifications, and replacements across the APAC region.Collaborate with Tooling, Procedure Development, Training, and Campaign teams to ensure timely support for new and ongoing projects.Handle sourcing: navigate BOMs, sort materials, issue RFQs, negotiate pricing, draft POs, and secure approvals.Onboard new APAC tooling suppliers.Manage APAC tool fulfillment, including inbound/outbound logistics.Drive process improvements in tool logistics, cost reduction, and procurement operations.Ensure internal and external POs are properly sourced, monitored, and fulfilled.Optimize tools ordering across APAC.Automate physical tooling workflows.Resolve physical tooling challenges escalated from the field.Perform data analytics on APAC tooling workflows.Develop tooling KPI reports.Coordinate tooling shipments.Lead setup and fulfillment of Megapack tools for the Certified Service Provider Program (CSP).
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or other quantitative/technical fields preferred.2+ years of experience in procurement, buyer/planner roles, or related fields, ideally in engineering or manufacturing environments.Strong understanding of BOM management, vendor negotiation, and purchasing processes.Experience with RFQs, POs, and vendor management.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.Proven project management skills, delivering projects from inception to completion.Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with industrial equipment, tooling, or field service hardware.Experience with procurement software and tools like JIRA or other project management platforms.
