Role SummaryAs a ML Data Ops Engineer, you will be a member of the Data platform team in Rivian. Your role is critical for supporting the fast and high quality auto labeling and dataset generation, that directly impact safety critical self-driving features of our category defining vehicles
Responsibilities- In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the staged workflow for
vehicle data processing, auto labeling and tagging, and dataset validation. - You will be responsible for supporting large scale dataset generation / backfill per release cycle,
and make necessary optimizations to meet the data quality and pipeline throughput requirements. - You will be closely interacting with the business logic owner of the data processing SW, to
ensure the fast pace feature addition to data release, and improvement of data quality and pipeline
success rate
Qualifications- B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a
related field. - Familiarity with modern data processing ego systems. Can maintain large scale data generation
workflow, with environments such as AWS batch, and ray clusters. Can make necessary
environmental configuration changes to streamline the workflow. - Can build automation tools for launching data generation jobs, tracking the operation status, and
tracking the efficiency and healthiness of the data generation jobs, during each release cycle. - Can root cause the data generation job failures and send feedback to the owner of the
corresponding business logics inside the pipeline. - Hands on experience for python, and database query.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
- Good team player with great communication skills.
