Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week, at minimum.
The Role:
The ADAS DRIVE Organization is responsible for the Design, Requirements, Integration, Validation and Execution of ADAS Products. As a software test engineer in the ADAS DRIVE Path and Route Following team you will be responsible for planning and executing testing required to develop, calibrate, and validate features and solutions within the path and route following domain. This engineer will be working on production level calibrations and doing hands-on work in vehicles, on benches and in simulation environments.
What You'll Do:
- Execute all bench CG's for Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Hands on lane centering assist (HoLCA) and Super Cruise feature functionality and subsystem testing for all vehicle programs
- Develop Autobot scripts to automate testing in-vehicle, on the performance HIL, and on the NTD benches
- Lead the correlation of SIL models for all path and route following CG’s with the virtual teams
- Understand algorithms in your area of responsibility and participate in developing and improving software, calibration quality and efficiency
- Integrate new path and route following software into vehicles, benches or simulation as required
- Lead the triage of issues and communicate bugs and with responsible calibrator and team leads
- Makes recommendations based on work completed, shares lessons learned with the team members and keeps EGM informed of assignment status, timing, and technical issues
Your Skills & Abilities: (Required Skills)
- 7+ years of overall engineering experience
- Ability to drive advanced levels of test planning, execution and quality reporting of software and calibration applications through project engagements and sustaining software test activities.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional discipline activity
- Thorough knowledge of complex mechanical and electrical concepts
- High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
- Strong ability to work with computer-based tools to collect and analyze data
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed to support product development and testing

Preferred Skills)
- DFSS Black Belt
- 2+ years of automotive experience in testing, development, and calibration (preferably with ETAS/INCA calibration tools)
- 2+ years of experience working in Matlab/Simulink/Python
- Experience with Serial Data busses, including LIN, CAN, GMLAN, Flexray and Ethernet
- Experience using Autobot to automate testing
- Experience using Jira and Jira Xray for testing and test reports
- Experience with V-Spy
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
- The salary range for this role is $134,000 and $205,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
Reclocation: This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis.
