Position: Mechanical Assembler
Location/s: Ashland, VA
Duration: Contract to Hire (Possible to convert after 90 days depending on performance and needs)
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18.00/hr. (Depending on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 AM, Mon-Fri), 10 hours/day and Saturdays as required

Job Description:
Assist Sub- Assembly and Assembly Departments in the assembly of Mechanical components.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble components such as bearings and install couplings on shafts
- Use basic hand tools to fabricate, assemble and install components
Requirements:
- Basic Mechanical knowledge
- Able to read shop drawings
- Show up to work on time every day
- Able to work safely in a Heavy Industrial environment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background check (7-year felony + sex offender)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
- Applicants for employment must be a U.S. Citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
