What To Expect
The Senior Project Manager on Tesla Energy’s Megapack Deployment Team will work directly with the Deployment Manager, Sales team, Project Owners and other key stakeholders relative to their assigned project(s). The Sr. Project Manager is fully responsible for the oversight and management of the project cycle for Utility BESS projects. This person will interface with the customer to schedule work, coordinate services, and maintain Tesla contractual obligations. Maintaining Tesla’s culture of safety, quality, and efficiency in all aspects is crucial to the success of the overall operation. This individual must have the ability to report to a Tesla office in Austin, TX, or Palo Alto, CA and travel up to 25% of the time to job sites.

Manage the project cycle for Utility Projects and oversee all field teams and installation Communicate with client on contractual obligations, schedules, milestones, change orders, documentation and required submittals Define elements of work and develop scope of work for subcontracts and manage bid process for subcontracted work Interact with a diverse team to communicate status updates and identify potential risks in project plan
What You'll Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, a related field, or equivalent in experience 5+ years of construction project management experience, with 2+ years within the battery energy storage industry Extensive knowledge of general construction methods, electrical (LV, MV, & HV) construction means and methodsAbility to read and understand design and construction drawings Knowledge of construction contracts, subcontracts, and the bid management Excellent ability to manage critical path, schedule optimization, and budget on multiple projects Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills Working knowledge of IRA and associated compliance obligations Certified Project Manager (CPM) certification preferred Proficient computer skills with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and MS Project experience strongly preferred

Expected Compensation
$124,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
