Role Summary

The Engineering Change Manager is responsible for end to end coordination of engineering change product implementation. You will be the crucial link between product development and operations, ensuring a seamless and controlled integration of engineering changes and vehicle configuration options into the manufacturing environment. This role requires extensive collaboration with, but not limited to, design engineering, vehicle line, technical program management, supply chain, operations, and manufacturing engineering teams.

Este puesto requiere una estrecha colaboración con diversos equipos, entre otros: ingeniería de diseño, gama de vehículos, gestión de programas técnicos, cadena de suministro, operaciones e ingeniería de fabricación.

Responsibilities

Drive cross-functional alignment as the primary interface between product development, vehicle line, and other functions involved in the product change process.
Lead and integrate efforts to ensure manufacturing can effectively consume all changes.
Participate in engineering change request meetings and part deviation reviews to thoroughly understand the scope and requirements of the change.
Lead the planning and execution of high-impact and complex changes by effectively leveraging cross-functional meetings with all impacted stakeholders.
Develop change impact analysis for decision making in change implementation plans.
Lead program and manufacturing build change management readiness forums, gathering essential data for change execution.
Establish plant breakpoints using criteria such as supplier input, plant reference, engineering direction, and production order management input.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).
Evaluate and assign disposition of obsolete material, ensuring check list has been completed and all mitigation options have been validated.
Document change status, decisions, approvers, and other relevant information in the change management tool.

Liderar e integrar las iniciativas para garantizar que la fabricación pueda incorporar todos los cambios de manera eficaz.
Participar en las reuniones acerca de solicitudes de cambios de ingeniería y en las revisiones de modificaciones de componentes para comprender plenamente el alcance y los requisitos del cambio.
Liderar la planificación y la ejecución de cambios complejos y de gran repercusión, aprovechando de manera eficaz las reuniones interfuncionales con todas las partes interesadas implicadas.
Elaborar análisis de impacto de los cambio para la toma de decisiones en los planes de implementación de cambios.
Liderar los foros de preparación para la gestión de cambios en los programas y la fabricación, así como reunir datos esenciales para la ejecución de dichos cambios.
Determinar los puntos críticos de la planta mediante criterios tales como información brindada por proveedores, referencias de la planta, instrucciones de ingeniería e información procedente de la gestión de órdenes de fabricación.
Responsable de mantener una lista de materiales de fabricación (MBOM) precis
Evaluar y determinar la eliminación del material obsoleto, así como garantizar que se haya completado la lista de comprobación y que se hayan validado todas las opciones de mitigación.
Documentar el estado de los cambios, decisiones, personas encargadas de la aprobación y cualquier otra información pertinente en la herramienta de gestión de cambios.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Program Management.
3-5 yrs experience in Engineering Change implementation or relevant engineering function required.
Thorough expertise with BOM structures, BOM management, engineering drawings and part specifications.
Background in automotive manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Proven track record with design change processes, supply chain operations, and manufacturing stages (e.g., stamping, welding, assembly, paint)
Demonstrated competence in consolidating information and coordinating cross-functional alignment.
Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), specifically SAP.
Advanced experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office productivity suites.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented and cross-functional attitude.
Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines based on general instructions.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate and perform in a high-pressure environment.
Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methodology to achieve best results.
Ability to coordinate multiple teams to achieve goals and targets.
Proactively plan for success.
Ability to parallel tasks or manage activities with minimal supervision.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English to ensure workplace safety, effective communication, and operational efficiency.

Licenciatura en Ingeniería, Cadena de Suministro o Gestión de Programas.
Se requiere una experiencia de 3-5 años en la implementación de Cambios de ingeniería o en un puesto de ingeniería relevante.
Amplios conocimientos de estructuras de BOM, gestión de BOM, planos técnicos y especificaciones de componentes.
Se valora muy positivamente la experiencia en áreas de fabricación de automoción.
Experiencia demostrada en procesos de cambio de diseños, operaciones de la cadena de suministro y fases de fabricación (por ejemplo, estampación, soldadura, montaje, pintura).
Competencia demostrada en la recopilación de información y la coordinación interfuncional.
Dominio de sistemas de planificación de recursos empresariales (ERP), planificación de requerimientos de materiales (MRP) y sistemas de ejecución de la fabricación (MES), en concreto, SAP.
Experiencia avanzada con las suites de productividad de Google Workspace o Microsoft Office.
Excelentes habilidades interpersonales y de comunicación, con una actitud orientada al trabajo en equipo y a la colaboración interfuncional.
Capaz de priorizar tareas y cumplir los plazos de acuerdo con instrucciones generales.
Sólidas habilidades organizativas y de resolución de problemas.
Capacidades de comunicación y desempeño en un ambiente de gran presión.
Demostrar buen criterio a la hora de elegir la metodología para obtener los mejores resultados.
Capacidad para coordinar varios equipos con el fin de alcanzar los objetivos y metas establecidos.

Pay Disclosure:

The salary range for this role is 592,100 MXN - 740,138.41 MXN annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including major & minor medical, life insurance, and food vouchers to eligible employees.
