Who we are looking for:
Slate is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented
General Assembly Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing assembly processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the manufacturing of our products. The General Assembly Process Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective assembly processes.

- Analyze and evaluate existing assembly processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement efficient assembly procedures and workflows.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability of products.
- Provide technical expertise and support for assembly line setup and production.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline assembly processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for process improvement projects.
- Work closely with safety teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to meet product specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Document and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
- Capture and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field. Master's Degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of general assembly processes and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience with process optimization and efficiency improvement.
- Experience with implementing automation in assembly processes.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
