I'm partnering with an established, rapidly growing U.S. advanced manufacturing organization producing highly engineered components for the aerospace, defense, and other mission-critical industries.
We're searching for an exceptional, hands-on Director of Quality who can build and elevate a Quality organization, lead critical aerospace certifications, develop high-performing teams, and drive manufacturing excellence!
This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity with direct access to executive leadership, significant autonomy, and the ability to shape the future of Quality during an exciting period of growth.
WHAT MAKES THIS OPPORTUNITY STAND OUT?
⭐ Build & Lead: Develop and expand the Quality function, establish strategy, and build a high-performing team.
⭐ Own NADCAP Accreditation: Lead a manufacturing facility through the complete accreditation process, from initial readiness and gap assessments through successful accreditation.
⭐ Executive Visibility: Partner directly with senior leadership to influence quality strategy, operational performance, and long-term growth.
⭐ Advanced Manufacturing: Work with sophisticated carbon fiber, composite materials, and highly engineered aerospace/defense components.
⭐ Drive Manufacturing Excellence: Champion Lean/Six Sigma, root cause analysis, CAPA, SPC, and continuous improvement initiatives.
⭐ Growth & Innovation: Help establish scalable quality systems supporting both complex prototype development and higher-volume manufacturing.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
✔ HANDS-ON NADCAP ACCREDITATION EXPERIENCE — REQUIRED! Must have personally led a facility or special process through successful accreditation.
✔ Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and aerospace quality requirements.
✔ 5+ years of manufacturing Quality Systems, continuous improvement, and project leadership experience.
✔ 2+ years of Quality leadership, including building, mentoring, and developing teams.
✔ Experience in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, carbon fiber, or advanced composites strongly preferred.
✔ Proven success leading audits, supplier quality initiatives, corrective actions, customer quality reviews, and process improvements.
✔ Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
✔ ITAR Compliance: Must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable ITAR regulations and be eligible to access export-controlled technical information.
