Imagine this
You step onto the shop floor of our climate-controlled Charlotte facility. On your docket: a complex turbine component that will help deliver cleaner, more reliable power. You verify tooling, run a warmup on a 5-axis mill, preload a laser drilling program, and stage a part under a jib crane. Mid-shift, you execute a bonding and heat-treatment sequence, then confirm tolerances with advanced gauges — all while following Siemens procedures that keep people safe and quality uncompromised.
Your impact
- Set up and operate CNC platforms for multi-operation work: horizontal boring machines, laser drillers, and 5-axis mills
- Perform bonding and heat-treatment; supplement with manual machining and hand tools where precision dictates
- Interpret complex drawings/blueprints and manufacturer specifications; select tools and establish process steps
- Handle materials using jib and B/C cranes and forklifts; lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Apply rigorous QA practices and complex metrology to verify results
