The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading daily maintenance operations across the facility, with a focus on safety, equipment reliability, and technician development. This role oversees a team of 10+ technicians and provides off-shift support as needed to ensure production continuity. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background in electrical and mechanical systems, experience working within a TPM structure, and the ability to drive performance through hands-on leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and direct daily activities of maintenance technicians, prioritizing safety, work quality, and responsiveness.
• Assign and oversee work orders, ensuring timely execution of PMs, corrective repairs, and emergency response tasks.
• Support TPM initiatives, working with operations and engineering to identify and reduce recurring issues.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on equipment operating under low and high voltage conditions.
• Validate completed work orders for accuracy and completeness; coach technicians on documentation standards.
• Conduct safety audits and enforce all OSHA and internal safety procedures, including full compliance with LOTO.
• Assist with skills development, on-the-job training, and performance feedback for the technician team.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and facilities teams to plan maintenance work with minimal impact to operations.
• Provide input on spare parts, tool needs, and reliability improvements.
• Act as a point of contact for contractor support, equipment vendors, and service providers as needed.
• Be available for off-shift or weekend support based on plant needs or technician escalations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or lead technician role.
• Hands-on experience with low voltage (24VDC, 120VAC), high voltage (208/277/480VAC), and control voltage systems.
• Solid understanding of OSHA-compliant safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine safeguarding.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of EAM/CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP/EAM) for managing work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and tracking maintenance history.
• Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) structure and principles, including PM/AM support and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support a team of 10+ maintenance technicians, including availability for off-shift support.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across maintenance, operations, and engineering teams.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• Associate degree or trade certification in industrial maintenance or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Bilingual (English/Mandarin)
• Experience with PLC and HMI diagnostics (Siemens or Allen Bradley)
• Prior experience in startup, ramp-up, or transition from construction to production.
• Comfortable managing vendor and contractor interactions for maintenance-related tasks.
