We are looking for a technical, dynamic, and experienced
Paint Shop Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing the execution of paint systems and operations from initiation to completion. The Paint Shop Manufacturing Engineering Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving innovation in the Paint Shop.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define paint operations scope and objectives.
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in the execution of paints operations on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Implement effective paint management process control plans and methodologies.
- Allocate resources appropriately to ensure operational success.
- Work closely with department heads to secure necessary resources and support.
- Communicate program status, issues, and risks regularly to stakeholders.
- Drive the development and execution of training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the Manufacturing Engineering team of the Paint Shop.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field is preferred. While a degree is preferred, we value hands-on experience and a proven track record of success in similar roles as a suitable substitute and encourage candidates to apply who can demonstrate relevant and commensurate professional experience.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in Paint Shop management in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably with a focus on launching new car models in the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of paint application processes and equipment in the automotive industry.
- Strong process management skills, with a focus on delivering results while optimizing processes and improving efficiency.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders to achieve common goals
- Highly adaptable and proactive, excelling in fast-paced start-up and new model launch environments.
- Proficiency with engineering software and tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to travel, both domestic and international (up to 25%).
- Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
