What To Expect
Tesla Energy is deploying utility-scale battery storage and Superchargers at pace across Asia Pacific. APAC Service delivers the Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) and maintenance that keep those sites online. As the installed base and product lines grow, service operations cannot absorb every issue on top of daily operations.
Tesla is seeking a Technical Resolution Lead to close that gap. You will run complex, multi-threaded technical issues to closure, hold Engineering and the Service organisation to committed dates, and put the operational scaffolding in place so resolutions stick. Work will come mainly from issues that arise in daily operations. You will keep the field synced on common issues, generate efficiency by standardising how those issues are solved, and continuously improve field technical practice. Your output gives clarity and capacity back to the organisation: Service managers run the fleet; you drive issues to resolution and raise the technical standard of the work.
Success is measured by whether issues close on time, stakeholders deliver what they committed, service obligations are met, Service managers stay focused on daily operations, and APAC Service is ready when the next product lands on site.
What You'll Do
Own high-impact technical and operational issues across the APAC Energy Service fleet. Keep Engineering, Service, EHS, Supply Chain and, where required, the customer on a single critical path until the issue is closed. Drive stakeholder accountability without direct authority. Set dates, surface slip early, and escalate so work stays on track and contracted service obligations are met. Absorb issues and workstreams that would otherwise sit with operations managers, giving them the bandwidth to run day-to-day requirements. Lead APAC Service readiness for new product introductions: tooling, training, spare parts, isolation practice and communications before first deployment. Anticipate operational risk (safety, isolation, skills, parts, documentation, access) and put mitigations in place before they become site delays or safety events. Identify and implement standardisation across field teams so work is safe, repeatable and consistent between sites and countries. Example: a single, field-usable lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and isolation method instead of a different method on every crew. Travel to site to support investigations and issue discovery. Track open programs and issues to closure. Report status in a form leadership can act on: owner, date, blocker, next step.
What You'll Bring
5+ years in technical operations, field service, program management, project management or industrial aftermarket energy storage, high-voltage plant, utilities or similar industrial sites preferred. Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across Engineering, Service and commercial partners, including global teams and APAC time zones. Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. Comfortable on high-voltage battery sites and with isolation / LOTO practice. Strong field experience, and the ability to articulate technical problems clearly to field technicians, Engineering and non-technical audiences. Proven history of turning complex, multi-party issues into a sequenced plan with owners, dates and a recorded close. Ability to hold multiple complex workstreams at once, prioritise ruthlessly and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication. Able to brief executives and field crews with equal clarity. Experience in technical writing and SOP / procedure development. Willingness to travel across APAC, including to remote utility-scale sites.
Nice to have
Experience delivering against LTSAs, warranties or other contracted service-level obligations. PMP certification. Incident investigation methods such as ICAM or TapRooT. Familiarity with Megapack, battery energy storage systems or grid-scale storage operations. Working knowledge of APAC electrical safety standards (for example AS/NZS) and site access requirements. Additional APAC language skills (Mandarin, Japanese).
