Electrician £45K, Roofer £37.5K, Labourer £30K
Residential Solar Limited (Part of Sustain Holdings Limtied) is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Electrician, Roofer, and Labourer to join our domestic installation team, fitting Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for homeowners across the UK.

About the Role
You'll work as part of a small, dedicated install team travelling to residential sites to fit solar panels, inverters and battery storage systems — from first fix through to commissioning and handover. Work is varied, hands-on, and covers domestic properties of all types across the UK. With a large amount of work being in Stoke On Trent.
Positions We're Recruiting For:
Electrician
- Carry out electrical installation, wiring and connection of Solar PV and BESS systems in line with current wiring regulations
- Complete testing, commissioning, certification and handover documentation
- Diagnose and resolve any electrical issues on site
- Requirements: NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent), 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification, experience with solar PV/battery storage installation preferred (training available for the right candidate)
Roofer
- Carry out roof surveys, mounting system installation and panel fixing across a range of roof types (tile, slate, flat roof)
- Ensure all roof work is completed safely and to a weatherproof, high-quality finish
- Work closely with the electrician and labourer to keep installs on schedule
- Requirements: Proven roofing experience, working at height/ladder safety awareness, solar mounting system experience preferred
Labourer
- Support the electrician and roofer with materials handling, site preparation and general install support
- Keep the site safe, tidy and compliant throughout the job
- Assist with loading/unloading and basic install tasks under supervision
- Requirements: Willingness to learn, physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at height, no formal qualifications required — this is a great entry point into the solar industry
What You'll Need (all roles)
- Full UK driving licence (own transport / willingness to travel to sites)
- Comfortable working at height
- A team player with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
- [Relevant certifications, e.g. CSCS card, MCS awareness — confirm which apply]
Location
This role will have a requirement to travel nationwide, so the ideal team will be based in the midlands.
