Job Title: Head of Sales
Salary: £100,000 - £130,000
Location: London 3 days / WFH 2
You have built or led a sales team that turns real interest into a real decision. Not a click, not an enquiry that gets left cold, but a person who books an appointment, sits through a proper conversation, thinks it over, and commits. You know that funnel inside out, and you are ready to own it somewhere ambitious enough to let you build it from the ground up.
Why this role
This is a rare kind of opportunity: a fast-growing British vehicle manufacturer, still young enough that the sales organisation is being built rather than inherited, but established enough to have real product, real demand and real international momentum. You will take full ownership of the sales function, from strategy through to the number on the board, working directly with the leadership team to shape how the company sells across the UK, Germany, France and the US as it moves into its next stage of growth.
What you'll do
You will own global revenue delivery, forecasting and pipeline visibility across multiple markets, and build the team, structure and KPIs needed to scale sales without losing the quality of the customer experience. You will drive rigorous use of HubSpot to manage the customer lifecycle, from first enquiry through to handover, and use that data to sharpen conversion at every stage. You will identify and manage strategic partnerships that widen how customers first experience the product, including test-ride and demonstration programmes, and work closely with marketing, operations and customer experience to keep the whole commercial engine aligned. You will coach and develop your team, represent the brand at trade shows and events, and challenge existing processes wherever they slow growth down.
About the company
This is a British electric motorcycle manufacturer with genuine momentum, award-winning products and a growing footprint across the UK, Europe and the US. Manufacturing is based in the Midlands, with a commercial team of over fifty working from London. It is a business that has grown fast on real product and real customer loyalty, and it is now investing seriously in the commercial structure to match its ambition to lead the global two-wheeled EV market.
About you
The essential bar here is direct-to-consumer sales leadership, not dealer, wholesale or channel management. You will have personally owned a funnel where a marketing lead is qualified, an appointment or demonstration is booked, a consultative sale takes place over one or more conversations, a quotation is produced, the customer takes time to decide, and the sale closes, often with finance attached. You will have been accountable for revenue against target, conversion at every stage, average order value, drop-out rates, forecast accuracy, CRM discipline and team productivity. This might be a title of Head of Sales, Sales Director, Commercial Director, Country Manager, Regional Director or VP of Sales, and you might lead a team directly or through others, so long as you have genuinely owned the number. Experience from mobility, consumer tech, lifestyle or high-growth D2C brands, where customers are sold to in a showroom, studio or demonstration setting, is exactly what we are looking for.
Rewards & growth
You will have real influence over how this business sells, not a strategy role once removed from the number. As the company expands into new markets, so does the scope of this role, with the chance to build a sales organisation from the ground up and grow with it internationally.
