About the company:
KIEFER is building Greece's integrated AI ecosystem. From renewable energy infrastructure and AI systems to robotics and enterprise applications, we connect the technologies that power Europe's intelligent future. Founded in 2014, KIEFER has delivered 600MW+ of energy projects and is now developing sovereign AI infrastructure, enterprise AI products and physical AI systems for Greece and Southeast Europe.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction phase of our data center facilities. This is a field-based, hands-on leadership role covering the full build — from groundbreaking through mechanical, electrical and structural completion to handover for commissioning.
This is not a single-site posting. As KIEFER's data center pipeline grows, you will be the person we deploy to lead construction at whichever site is active — starting with Megalopoli and moving to future builds as they come online. You will be the on-the-ground owner of schedule, quality, safety and contractor coordination for each project, working closely with Engineering, Procurement and the Operations team that takes over once the facility goes live.
What you will do
• Take full ownership of day-to-day construction execution on site, coordinating civil, mechanical and electrical works to the approved design and schedule
• Lead and coordinate contractors and subcontractors on site, enforcing safety standards, quality control and adherence to specification
• Manage the construction programme — sequencing, milestones, and recovery plans when work falls behind — and report progress to KIEFER's Engineering and Project Management leadership
• Oversee site safety culture and compliance, running toolbox talks, inspections and incident response as the senior authority on site
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries, site logistics and interfaces between trades to avoid clashes and delays
• Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, local authorities and utilities throughout the build
• Track quality assurance and punch-list closeout, ensuring systems are handed over ready for commissioning and operational readiness
• Relocate between KIEFER's active construction sites as projects transition from build to commissioning and new sites break ground
What you will need
• A degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 7+ years of hands-on site management experience delivering large-scale industrial, energy, or mission-critical construction projects (data centers, power plants, substations, or comparable facilities)
• Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, MEP coordination, and safety and quality standards on complex builds
• A proven track record of leading site teams and contractors through to successful project handover
• Willingness to be based on-site and to relocate between KIEFER's active construction sites across Greece as the build pipeline progresses
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and tight deadlines
• Fluency in Greek and English (professional proficiency preferred but not mandatory)
What we offer
• Competitive salary. The salary range will be communicated during the interview process, in line with applicable pay transparency requirements.
• Private medical insurance
• Laptop and mobile phone
• Structured professional development and training
• A collaborative, high-autonomy culture with direct access to senior management
