The Cloud Operations/ System Engineer will act as the primary technical presence of the Managed Services team at our client's premises, supporting the day-to-day operation, administration and maintenance of the IT infrastructure. The engineer will work closely with the clients IT personnel, the Service Desk/NOC and the specialized L2/L3 engineering teams

Reporting to: Customer IT & Operations Supervisor
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform daily operational checks and first-level technical investigation of infrastructure-related incidents and alerts.
- Provide hands-on support for Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VMware virtualization and general infrastructure services.
- Perform basic administration and troubleshooting of servers, virtual machines, storage, backup and network-related infrastructure.
- Execute approved operational changes, configuration activities, patching and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate and escalate complex incidents to the appropriate Network, Systems, Cloud, Storage/Backup, Database, Linux or Security specialists.
- Support Incident, Problem and Change Management processes and ensure that activities are properly documented.
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware failures and coordinate with vendors/support providers where required.
- Participate in planned maintenance, upgrades, DR exercises, failover/failback tests and other scheduled activities, including activities outside normal business hours when required and agreed.
What we are looking for:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory/DNS.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure services.
- Experience with VMware vSphere environments.
- Understanding of backup, storage and virtualization concepts.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring and ticketing/service-management platforms.
- Ability to perform structured troubleshooting and incident handling.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with specialized L2/L3 teams and third-party vendors.
- Good command of Greek and English.
Nice to Have
- Microsoft, VMware, Azure or equivalent technical certification.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
- Experience in enterprise environments and Managed Services operations.
- CCNA certification is a plus.
