What You'll Do
Maintain and develop thermal abuse design validation specificationsDevelop new test protocols to explore design risks in emerging designs and applicationsApply thermal abuse expertise to identify early-phase design risksDevelop novel mitigation methods to enhance safety in energy systemsCollaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety specifications into product designsAnalyze test results to refine validation processes and improve system reliabilityDocument and communicate findings to support design and safety reviews
What You'll Bring
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or equivalent experienceStrong foundation in thermal and mechanical engineering principlesDemonstrated experience in thermal abuse safety for battery or energy systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with safety standards and testing methodologies for energy systemsExperience with product/system/manufacturing design processes.Experience with CAD and 3D modeling /analysisExperience with data acquisition and test setup/designUnderstanding of Li-ion battery electrochemistry/EE/statisticsLithium-ion battery / automotive / grid scale energy storage experience

Expected Compensation
$112,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
