This individual will apply his/her technical skills to setup, operate, and adjust high volume production equipment. The Engineering Process Technician is a key member of the Operations Team and support our Sustaining and Manufacturing Engineers in developing innovative processes, equipment improvements, and procedural changes helping accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
What You'll Do
Perform equipment setup, operation, adjustments, and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet safety, quality and efficiency standards for equipment in varying development stagesIdentify problems using data and potential solutions to troubleshoot issues as they arise during regular production and engineering buildsDevelop operating procedures for equipment or new processes in standard formatCollaborate with maintenance and engineering to develop test methods for process improvementsParticipate in the continuous improvement of safety, quality, output, and tool uptimeSupport work area safety, cleanliness, material usage and organizationSupport production leadership at times in organizing associates and manpower to perform engineering trials on equipment
What You'll Bring
Experience in automated/semi-automated manufacturing environment with hands on equipment operation and/or troubleshooting experienceExcellent attention to detail, good organization, analytical and reasoning skillsComfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressureStrong proficiency in common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc.)Experience utilizing SQL queries to access the data base and pull reports/data Experience with any data analysis software (Minitab, JMP, etc.) is highly preferredMust have command of the English language both written and verbal
Essential Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrainFrequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs. including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairsFrequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reachAbility to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearingWearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: PAPR, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
