What To Expect
We are seeking a Construction Project Manager, Electrical Systems to join our Central Utilities Group, overseeing electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects. This role focuses on medium voltage (up to 25kV), 480V systems, and critical mechanical systems supporting central utility operations. The ideal candidate will lead planning, execution, and turnover of construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
What You'll Do
Manage construction of electrical and mechanical systems in central utility environmentsOversee medium voltage and low voltage (480V) electrical distribution upgradesWrite and review scopes of work (SOW) and technical specificationsManage contractors and coordinate with internal engineering and facilities teamsEnsure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and operational requirementsTrack project progress, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change ordersMaintain clear, effective communication across stakeholders and project phases
What You'll Bring
2-4 years of experience managing electrical construction projectsStrong knowledge of electrical systems, utility infrastructure, and mechanical integrationProven ability to write scopes of work and manage construction contractsHave strong computer skills for tracking projects, scheduling, takeoffs, and workflows Experience with active facilities and complex infrastructure environmentsExcellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Willingness to work long hours, with a tenacious and ambitious approach to project goalsOSHA 30 certification preferred; PMP or equivalent is a plus
