Overview:
VinFast is looking for a Logistics Specialist – Outbound Operations to manage daily export shipments, coordinate with logistics partners, ensure on-time delivery, control transportation costs, and monitor vendor performance. The role also supports logistics reporting and process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
Job responsibilities:
- Liaise with freight forwarder/carrier to determine best mode of transport (Air/Ocean/Truck) based on cost and lead-time to proceed export shipment
- Oversee daily shipping and delivery processes of goods to ensure lead-time
- Monitor performance of transportation vendors and take remedial actions when issue arise
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely handling of shipments
- Prepare logistics report related to transportation activities in terms of KPI, cost, mode, volume, vendor…etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Logistics or a related field.
- Strong understanding of international transportation, specifically Incoterms.
- Proficient in shipping procedures and familiar with freight/surcharges for various transport modes (Air/Ocean/Truck).
- Skilled in data analysis using Microsoft Excel, including creating charts and pivot tables.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with freight forwarders and vendors.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to handle discrepancies and improve current SOPs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with planning and project teams to ensure efficient shipment handling.
- Experience in preparing and analyzing monthly logistics reports related to transportation activities.
