Position Summary:
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for purchasing and customs compliance activities to support operational and business objectives. This role is responsible for handling import/export compliance, customs regulations, supplier coordination, trade documentation, and purchasing operations while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and international trade regulations. You will support strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize operational efficiency, and collaborate with global headquarters and cross-functional teams to strengthen supply chain performance and business competitiveness.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Source and manage Suppliers
- Create and issue purchasing orders (POs)
- Quote goods and services
- Negotiate pricing and track orders
- Review service contracts and raw material purchasing
- Register new vendors and ensure invoices are getting paid
- Support internal teams for purchasing needs
- Create monthly purchase histroy reports (Data)
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
- 0-7 + years of experience in customs compliance, purchasing, import/export operations, or supply chain management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in manufacturing or automotive-related industries preferred
- Experience supporting global suppliers and cross-functional operations preferred
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
