ROLE OVERVIEW
As ZEEKR Korea’s founding Warranty Manager, you will build the warranty function from the ground up — setting warranty terms, rates, and claims processes — while owning recall and service campaign management as ZEEKR Korea’s primary liaison to Korean regulatory authorities such as MOLIT and TS/KATRI. You will play a central role in balancing customer trust with the financial sustainability of ZEEKR Korea’s aftersales business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Warranty Policy & Program Design
- Design and own ZEEKR Korea’s Warranty & Guarantee Policy — coverage terms, duration (vehicle, battery, powertrain), exclusions, and claims eligibility.
- Negotiate warranty terms, cost-sharing structures, and battery/EV-specific coverage with ZEEKR HQ, balancing customer-facing competitiveness with financial sustainability for ZEEKR Korea and its dealer network.
- Build and maintain the Warranty Policy Manual and claims adjudication guidelines for the authorized service network, including goodwill and policy-adjustment authority levels.
2. Recall & Service Campaign Management (Regulatory Compliance)
- Prepare and coordinate domestic recall and service campaign launches — including parts supply readiness and special tool availability — and manage the associated execution and reporting process with MOLIT and TS/KATRI.
- Monitor global recall trends and actions across ZEEKR and comparable OEMs, and report relevant findings to MOLIT and TS/KATRI as required.
- Manage recall documentation as well as Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), including required submissions and reporting to MOLIT and TS/KATRI.
- Track and manage the completion progress of recall and service campaigns across the dealer network.
- Periodically report free-of-charge (goodwill) repair records and recall/service campaign repair status to MOLIT and TS/KATRI.
3. Warranty Claims Operations & Dealer Network Management
- Build and manage ZEEKR Korea’s warranty claims processing system, including Parts Warranty — claim submission, approval workflows, dealer reimbursement, and audit controls to prevent fraud or abuse.
- Manage warranty parts management processes — return parts and scrap parts handling — in coordination with the Parts team.
- Conduct Dealer Warranty Claim Audits and monitor claims KPIs (approval cycle time, first-pass approval rate, warranty cost per unit) across the authorized service network.
- Provide warranty policy training and claims system onboarding to new authorized service centers as the network expands.
4. Warranty Rate & Cost Management
- Own the ongoing warranty labor rate review cycle; recommend adjustments based on market movement, dealer feedback, and cost data.
- Partner with the Parts and Service Network teams to align labor rate assumptions with parts pricing and dealer margin structures.
- Plan and manage the warranty budget — securing and adjusting funding as ZEEKR Korea’s vehicle carpark grows, to ensure adequate coverage for warranty costs over time.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration & HQ Reporting
- Partner with Technical Support & Legal teams (Korea and HQ) to translate field failure data into technical service bulletins (TSBs) and proactive campaign decisions.
- Support development of ZEEKR Extended Warranty programs, including extended warranty coverage for Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles.
- Represent ZEEKR Korea in HQ-level warranty/quality forums and in dealings with Korean regulators and industry bodies (MOLIT, KATRI, KAIDA , etc) as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years in automotive warranty, quality, or technical service management, with at least 3 years at an OEM or a premium imported brand’s Korean subsidiary.
- Direct working experience with Korean recall/defect-reporting regulations under the Automobile Management Act — including reporting to MOLIT and/or KATRI
- Proven experience designing or administering warranty policy, claims processing systems, or labor rate structures.
- Strong understanding of automotive technical/quality issues sufficient to assess defect severity and coordinate root-cause investigations with engineering teams.
- Business-level English — capable of reporting, presenting, and negotiating with ZEEKR HQ; native-level Korean for regulatory and dealer-facing work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience managing a recall or service campaign end to end at a Korean automotive subsidiary, including direct interface with MOLIT/KATRI.
- Familiarity with EV-specific warranty considerations (battery degradation, high-voltage component coverage, OTA-related remediation).
- Experience with warranty management systems or claims platforms (e.g., in-house DMS, SAP, or OEM-proprietary systems).
- Conversational or working-level Mandarin Chinese is a plus for direct HQ engineering/quality coordination.
