Position
We’re looking for a dynamic and technically strong
Project Engineer to join our Engineering team, reporting to the
Head of Project Engineering.
In this role, you’ll be involved in the delivery of complex BESS projects, acting as a key interface between engineering, project teams, and stakeholders in an international and fast-paced EPC environment.

What you’ll do
- Manage relationships with project owners, partners, and internal/external stakeholders during project delivery
- Coordinate engineering and design activities for BESS projects in collaboration with the Engineering Manager
- Manage and submit engineering deliverables through Document Management Systems (Sharepoint, Aconex, 3DExperience, etc.)
- Ensure fit-for-purpose procurement of battery storage equipment and compliance with project requirements
- Monitor and control project and engineering progress against schedule
- Manage RFIs and design change requests in coordination with project teams
- Support civil and local system design (e.g. noise mitigation, firefighting systems) aligned with local regulations
- Support installation activities (civil and electrical) and participate in commissioning phases
- Collaborate with commissioning teams and support training delivery for partners and stakeholders
- Manage red-line and As Built documentation and ensure timely delivery
- Maintain lessons learned registers and share insights across teams
Depending on project needs, you may also act as Engineering Manager during execution, with responsibilities including:
- Lead engineering and design activities across the project lifecycle
- Prepare and coordinate technical documentation as per project deliverables
- Support procurement through technical specifications and supplier alignment
- Coordinate with Design Engineering teams to ensure deliverables meet project and contract requirements
- Manage FAT processes and ensure compliance with technical specifications
- Oversee IFC deliverables, manufacturing support, and red-line approvals
- Ensure alignment of engineering outputs with safety standards and project objectives
Requirements

What we’re looking for
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 2–5 years of experience in EPC project environments
- Experience with on-site activities on MW-scale power plants
- Experience in project delivery and engineering coordination
- Fluent both English and Italian; additional languages are a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in international, multicultural teams
- Problem-solving mindset with strong troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to prioritise, plan, and adapt in fast-changing environments

- Exposure to complex EPC environments and multidisciplinary teams

Location: Hybrid remote and Milan Offices. Availability to travel.
