What To Expect
As a Tesla Controls Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation and robotics. You will work with the highest caliber controls and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime. Tesla's Controls Technicians are also the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdown recoveries to keep production running.
What You'll Do
Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial production and mechatronics equipmentPerform Corrective Maintenance/actions (repairs/programming) on PLCs and networksMaintains program backup and proactively monitor any recent changes in programming based on KPI related improvement needsOrder parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogues and suppliers, or obtain them from storeroomsLog for all work as performedWillingness to learn new thingsPerform other tasks as instructed by management
What You'll Bring
Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical assembly drawings and accurately measure and inspect tolerancesSolid electrical knowledge (has a thorough understanding of electrical requirements and hazardsAdvanced skills with voltmeter to check AC/DC voltage, able to diagnose issues, able to use a schematic diagram to troubleshoot electrical systemsProficient with pneumatics-solenoid valves, actuator and control operations and can read schematicsFundamental Understanding on network/control architectureMust have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation
$28.80 - $43.44/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
