Repair Technicians are responsible for ensuring optimal performance of Tesla vehicles. The role involves diagnosing and resolving advanced electrical or mechanical issues within Tesla subsystems. Your role will require technical support and system optimization.
What You'll Do
Perform rectification on Cells, Bandoliers, Arrays, Penthouses, and other components on the Cybercab Battery through a comprehensive diagnosis and evaluationPerform Battery Diagnosis including Positive and Negative leak tests within different steps of the assembly process, in addition to functional test on the Battery Pack and PenthouseAssist and interface with NPI, Quality, Design, and Process Engineering teams to improve work instructions, parts, jigs, tools, and overall, First Pass YieldOperate and maintain a wide variety of shop tools, power tools, and automotive electrical test equipmentSupport Battery and Battery Sub-Assembly Production, General Assembly returns, and teardown of scrap materials to save on cost and further data collection including maintaining of records of time and materials through Tesla’s Proprietary SoftwareEducate Production Associates and other cross-functional departments on implementation of countermeasures to improve final quality and EOL production processPerform other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
2+ years’ experience in automotive diagnosis, servicing, and repairs or relevant experienceWork in a team-based environment and achieve common goalsMust be flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentPerform detailed daily record keeping and reportingPossess ability to critically think and look for the problems based on line conditionsExperience with functional/leak testersAbility to diagnose problems quickly, find solutions through root-cause analysis, and be empowered to take immediate action
