What To Expect
The Repair Technician will interface with General Assembly, Paint, Body in White (BIW), Quality, and Engineering teams to address mechanical and electrical system issues identified in production, testing, and inspection processes within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
Execute diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, including powertrains, chassis, and body componentsPerform NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) assessments and drive tests utilizing specialized test tracksOperate and calibrate computerized wheel alignment systems, executing precise mechanical adjustments on steering and suspensionConduct root-cause analysis to diagnose and resolve system faults rapidlyCollaborate with PMI, Quality, Design, and Engineering teams to refine work instructions, tooling, and component functionalityUtilize and maintain advanced shop tools, power tools, and automotive electrical diagnostic equipmentTake a lead role in coordinating the hiring and training of new technicians, fostering their continuous development and growth
What You'll Bring
2+ years of technical experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and servicing or equivalent high-performance experience in General Assembly at TeslaProven experience in coordinating and training technicians, driving their professional growthProven ability to function effectively within a team and meet collective objectivesAdaptability to work efficiently in a high-paced, technology-driven manufacturing environmentExpertise in detailed record-keeping and technical reporting & knowledge of Tesla vehicle systems and softwareValid driver’s license
