What To Expect
Build Program Managers on the Battery Pack Design Engineering team drive builds to enable light-speed validation of new cell & pack technologies through critical testing. This role requires a highly organized mind set, an enthusiasm for developing new technologies, and an unparalleled ability to pull people together to get things done. This role works out of the battery design engineering laboratory so you must be flexible with frequently changing early-stage designs, but coordinate a build team across multiple product lines and company functions – so you must be able to quickly adapt plans to drive stability in our build execution. In order to support our multiple parallel development programs, you must be detail oriented while driving design, build and cross functional teams to execute quickly at high quality. You must be passionate, but direction changes frequently, so you must also be resilient. Our lab supports builds for both Telsa’s electric vehicles & energy products.
What You'll Do
Accountable for creating, maintaining & communicating schedules & plans for battery buildsDrive action with internal & cross functional teams to successfully complete builds within time & resource constraintsIdentify creative & timely solutions to key build challengesTrack build progress & report effectively on status, blockers & changesDevelop & maintain effective communication channels to all stakeholdersTrack build resourcing & drive resource balancing between different program prioritiesContinuously improve build management systems & best practicesDrive lab improvement projects (equipment, processes, data tools) to continuously increase our capabilities & capacityOwn build BOM accuracy & communication of changes between design, supply chain, NPI & material planningComplete appropriate documentation & ensure accuracy of data across Tesla systems (JIRA/Confluence, Enovia, inventory tools)
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experienceExcellent communication skills, both verbal & writtenExperience creating reports, analyses or reporting tools for managementExperience in managing or launching hardware productsUnderstanding of the design cycle & design problem solving processesAbility to work cross‐functionally & manage large teamsDetail oriented with strong record‐keeping & organizational skillsGood overall computer skills, including Microsoft Office & e‐mail programsA desire to increase the effectiveness of your teammates

Expected Compensation
$112,000 - $217,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
