Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst, Manufacturing to support Rivian’s Manufacturing Finance team at our Normal, Illinois plant. In this role, you will serve as a key business partner to manufacturing leadership, providing financial guidance, reporting, and analysis to enable data-driven decision-making across operations. Your work will directly impact cost management, forecasting, and overall plant performance as Rivian continues to scale its operations.

- Act as a financial partner to shop directors and VP-level manufacturing leadership.
- Deliver high-quality forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis to drive operational excellence.
- Build consolidated financial plans, including headcount, operating expenses, and capital investments.
- Support business decisions through ad-hoc financial modeling for packaging, logistics, manufacturing, and related functions.
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration between Finance, Accounting, and Manufacturing teams.
- Provide leadership with timely and actionable financial insights to optimize production cost and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Be a key strategic partner for our manufacturing leadership team, interacting with shop directors and the VP of Manufacturing
- Serve as a trusted partner to the Manufacturing organization by articulating, reviewing, and analyzing financial forecasts, and executing financial planning needs
- Consolidate and build financial plans for the Operations organization; includes collecting and tracking headcount, operating and capital expenses
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for packaging, logistics, manufacturing, and other strategic business decisions
- Prepare and present insightful analysis to support leadership in decision-making
- Conduct variance analysis to forecast, track KPIs, and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Partner with Accounting and other Finance teams to perform monthly and quarterly close responsibilities; includes managing accruals and preparing close presentations
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Operations, or related field.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment with incomplete data.
- Meticulous attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to leadership.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Databricks, Hex, or similar data platforms.
- Prior experience in manufacturing finance, supply chain finance, or high-growth operations.
Pay DisclosureSalary Range for Illinois based applicants: $78,200 - $97,700 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
