Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Compensation Manager to design, implement, and manage compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role will partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to ensure our compensation structures are competitive, equitable, and aligned with company goals. The Compensation Manager will play a critical role in Executive Compensation, compensation planning, benchmarking, compliance, and compensation-related communication.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Compensation Committee pay programs, budgetary/planning requirements and associated work backwards planning for quarterly reviews and proxy.
- Design and implement compensation base pay and incentive programs inclusive of salaried and hourly populations globally.
- Operationalize and maintain our company wide Job architecture (salary structure, salary grades, and market rates for specific jobs or functional areas).
- Ensure market competitive practices inclusive of annual compensation survey participation, benchmarking process, and data analysis.
- Manage the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking studies to ensure competitiveness and internal equity
- Lead annual compensation review cycles including merit, bonus, and equity refresh processes
- Develop compensation guidelines and tools for HRBPs and managers
- Provide HRBPs expertise on job leveling, titling, and compensation for new hires and internal moves
- Partner with Finance and Talent Acquisition on headcount planning and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation-related regulations
- Participate in audits and compensation-related reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Human Resources or related discipline. 5+ years; experience in a compensation capacity, building compensation and incentive programs, for a diverse population at differing levels.
- Desired Experience:
- Public company experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with compensation tools and systems
- Cross-functional experience working with Legal, Payroll, Finance, HR, Accounting and Audit.
- Mergers & Acquisition experience.
- Experience with HRIS and compensation systems.
- Global Compensation experience is a plus.
- High attention to detail with a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
- Working knowledge of FLSA, pay transparency laws, and other relevant compensation regulations
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $125,000 USD to $175,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
