What To Expect
Consider before submitting an application:
This position is expected to start around August or September 2025 and continue through the Fall term (ending approximately December 2025) or continuing into Winter/Spring 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

Our Service Tooling Engineering team plays a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing the tools and equipment needed to service and maintain our vehicles. We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects.
As a Service Tooling Engineering Project Intern, you will work closely with our team to support project management and field tooling support projects. You will assist in coordinating and tracking project progress, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, you will provide support for field tooling projects, including testing, validation, and implementation of new tools and equipment. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, working with a team of experienced engineers.
What You'll Do
Coordinating and scheduling meetings and tasks Tracking project progress and identifying potential roadblocks Developing and maintaining project documentation and reports Helping with testing and validating new tools and equipment Providing feedback and recommendations for tool design and functionality Assisting in the implementation and rollout of new tools and equipment Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and service operations Analyze data and provide insights to inform project decisions and improve tooling efficiency Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and updating tooling inventory databaseParticipate in design reviews and provide feedback on tool design and functionality
What You'll Bring
Strong understanding of project management principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Familiarity with project management tools such as Confluence and Jira Familiarity with Tesla's products and technology Experience with data analysis and visualization tools a plus, such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
