What To Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to support our development teams in the sourcing of Direct Supply Chain components and parts. This role will mostly support specific parts related to our humanoid robot program as well as other programs intrinsic to the successful running of the organization. This role will report to our Supply Chain Group Manager and in parallel be an active sourcing resource supporting our various Engineering groups within Tesla. This role will specifically focus on structural components using metal transformation process such casting, forging, metal injection molding and machining.
What You'll Do
Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiatedEngage in negotiation to ensure that Tesla’s commodity pricing meets Best-In-Class expectations, while meeting supplier industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality and driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc negotiationsAddress all areas of commodity management including market studies, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategiesManage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviewsParticipate in design reviews, change control meetings, and other technical discussions with Engineering partnersLead cross-functional teams to manage project timelines including developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier parts against program timing
What You'll Bring
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is preferred, or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience3+ years experience with metal forming process commodity as casting, metal injection molding and forging, with experience from aerospace and medical industries preferredProficient knowledge of technical requirements and design of the product and be able to influence cross functional partners with detailed analysis that supports optimized pricing and product sourcing decisionsAbility to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environmentAbility to travel up to 25% of the time

Expected Compensation
$82,800 - $189,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
