Role SummaryThe Warranty Business Manager will serve as the warranty end-to-end process lead while providing clear communications and establishing and managing critical process KPI's including claim audit performance and SOX compliance. As the single point of contact, this individual is responsible to ensure organizational alignment with warranty related business priorities, building strong cross-functional partnerships ultimately exceeding standard business expectations. This individual must exhibit strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of the warranty end-to-end business processes
- Manage the day-to-day activities of specific warranty programs including warranty claim audits, audit corrective action, adjudication approvals, part return audits, and subsequent No Trouble Found projects
- Manage critical warranty process documentation through periodic updates and optimization efforts with cross-functional teams
- Own warranty policy development and updates including program specific warranty guides, extended warranties, and certified pre-owned warranties
- Operationalize warranty polices for our service partners through guidebooks
- Ensure warranty infrastructure meets all requirements including SOX and legal aspects of adjudication, claim documentation, and reporting for all downstream stakeholders
- Establish strategic plans, policies, and procedures at all levels to deliver with exceptional quality
- Ensure SOX compliance though proper control documentation, implementation and monitoring
- Lead appropriate SOX control reviews with leadership
- Monitor and improve warranty process KPI’s and drive organizational awareness and delivery
- Train, coach and develop, and inform our employees on how we can exceed expectations for overall warranty processes
Qualifications- Bachelor’s in Engineering or Business or equivalent Degree, Masters Preferred
- 8-10 years’ experience with demonstrated leadership in Quality and/or Warranty Management
- Knowledge of AIAG, APQP, VDA and related tools
- Demonstrated leadership in driving business process improvements
- Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations simultaneously
- Willingness to work in a strong cross-functional environment
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing / production environment
- Travel 20%
Pay DisclosureSalary Range for Illinois and Michigan Based Based Applicants:$140,600 - $175,800(actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range for California Based Based Applicants:$154,000 - $192,500(actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary:Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental, and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or deomestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee Coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
